Heroes of Newerth: Reborn open beta launches next month
Game developer Kongor Studios’ remake of Heroes of Newerth is entering open beta rather soon. The remake is entitled Heroes of Newerth: Reborn, featuring over 80 heroes at launch (downsized from the original 139-character roster), improved visuals, new gameplay mechanics, 100-tick servers and better network infrastructure, remastered audio, and more.
Heroes of Newerth: Reborn will be free-to-play at launch, so players will still have a chance to play the game for free when it launches. However, this open beta offers nostalgic players a chance to dive back into the original, now-defunct MOBA, and see if Kongor Studios’ new gameplay additions hold up.
Kongor Studios has not announced an end date for the open beta. It’s also worth noting that neither Heroes of Newerth: Reborn nor its open beta will be available to play on Steam. Instead, the game will be playable exclusively on Juvio (formerly iGames), a somewhat obscure gaming platform which also claims to include “tools to discover, compete, and trade.”
Heroes of Newerth: Reborn is set to launch sometime in Q4 2025 or Q1 2026.
