Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, Donatello, and gang are the latest inclusion to Magic: The Gathering
Pizza loving ninja turtles are set to make an entrance in the world of Magic: The Gathering on 6 March, 2026. Wizards of the Coast announced its second set of 2026 Magic: The Gathering | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles earlier today in New York Comic Con.
While Wizards of the Coast announced its roadmap for its 2026 set releases in MagicCon: Atlanta just two weeks ago, the second set in line for release for 2026 was deliberately left blank, and only scheduled for an official unveiling on 10 October.

With the new Turtles set, players can expect an all new Commander pre-constructed deck aptly named Turtle Power! featuring the face commander Leonardo, the Balance. This deck will also feature all the other Turtles, and of course their mentor Splinter.

The Partner mechanic also makes a comeback, and players can pair any of the turtles revealed so far with Partner—Character to have two Commanders helm their decks instead.

For players who are more keen to open boosters and try their luck at getting cards with different artwork, Magic: The Gathering | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will of course come with brand new treatments.

The first new treatment will only revolve around the four Turtles, and feature borderless artwork by Kevin Eastman, the co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. These new headliner cards will also have a shiny stamp of Kevin Eastman’s signature, and can only be found in English Collector Boosters.

The second new treatment will come in the form of borderless source material cards, featuring artwork from the entirety of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. There will be 20 such cards, and they can be both found in Play and Collector Boosters, although the foil versions can only be found in Collector Boosters.

The last new treatment will only involve six cards from Magic: The Gathering’s history (only Dark Ritual was revealed so far), and these six cards will feature pizza-themed artwork! These cards will only be available in an all new Pizza Bundle, and be warned: these new Bundles absolutely look like actual pizza boxes, so don’t be fooled into thinking there are actual pepperoni slices in there!

For the competitive Standard ladder climbers out there, Wizards of the Coast also showed a glimpse of a brand new mechanic appearing in the set named Sneak. Sneak is similar to the existing mechanic Ninjutsu. However, unlike Ninjutsu, Sneak seems to allow players to cheat in other spells instead of a Ninja creature. Don't be surprised though if Ninjutsu also rears its head in a set full of ninjas too!

Besides the Turtles and Splinter making a splash in the upcoming set, popular villains as well as allies were also announced during New York Comic Con. Fans can expect the likes of April O'Neil to help save the day, or a mutated Super Shredder to ruin the day for the Turtles!

For the first time, the upcoming set will have a brand new Turtle Team-Up co-op experience for players who are tired of playing against one another. Instead, up to four players can play four decks each themed around the four Turtles to take down an enemy deck that was specially designed for this co-op experience!
Magic: The Gathering | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be released for tabletop on 6 March, 2026. More details on the upcoming set can be found here.
