Cygames has revealed the October roadmap for Umamusume: Pretty Derby. The full schedule has a lot in store for trainers, here’s everything you need to know!
Fuji Kiseki, Gold City, Meisho Doto, Eishin Flash to join trainee roster
Four new trainees will be made available this month:
Fuji Kiseki
Banner dates: 2 October - 10 October
Fuji Kiseki is a Mile distance runner, but can also do well in Medium given the right legacies. She has a preference for Turf.
Fuki Kiseki works best as a Pace Chaser and has a 20% growth bonus for Power and a 10% growth bonus for Wit.
Her Unique Skill is “Lights of Vaudeville”, which will greatly increase her velocity when just breaking out of the pack toward the front on the final straight.
While her innate skills are:
- Trick (Front)
- Unyielding Spirit (Mile)
- Preferred Position (Pace Chaser)
Alongside Fuji Kiseki, new support cards will also make their debut: Mejiro Ardan SR (Wit), and Mejiro Ryan SSR (Guts).
Gold City
Banner dates: 7 October - 16 October
Gold City is a Mile distance runner, although she can also work well on Medium and Long distances. Her preferred surface is Turf, however with the right legacies she can also be viable for Dirt.
Gold City can also work as both a Pace Chaser or Late Surger. She has a 10% growth bonus for power and 20% growth bonus for Guts.
Her Unique Skill, “KEEP IT REAL”, moderately increases her acceleration steadily when starting to make a move from midpack in the second half of the race.
Her innate skills on the other hand are:
- Hanshin Racecourse
- Watchful Eye (Mile)
- Slick Surge (Late Surger)
The Vodka SSR (Power) and Nishino Flower SSR (Speed) support cards will also get a rerun.
Meisho Doto
Banner dates: 21 October - 30 October
Meisho Doto is strictly a Medium and Distance runner, and she does well in Turf. However, she can also be a great choice for Dirt given if her aptitude is raised with the right legacies.
Meisho Doto is purely a Pace Chaser, but she can also opt to be a Late Surger. She has a growth bonus of 20% for Stamina and 10% for Guts.
Her Unique Skill is “I Never Goof Up!” and will allow her to aim for the front when passing another runner from midpack or further back on a corner late-race.
Her innate skills are:
- Pace Strategy
- Medium Corners
- Prepared to Pass (Pace Chaser)
The Tokai Teio SSR (Speed) and Special Week SSR (Guts).
Eishin Flash
Banner dates: 30 October - 9 November
Eishin Flash is a Medium and Long distance runner with a preference for Turf. She is a Late Surger but can also deviate to Pace Chaser given the right legacies are used. She has a growth bonus of 10% for Power and 20% for Wit.
Her Unique Skill, “Schwarzes Schwert”, will allow her to increase her velocity in a dash for the lead after running calmly and according to plan up until the final straight.
Eishin Flash’s innate skills are:
- Go With the Flow
- Late Surver Savvy
- Medium Corners
New support cards will debut alongside Eishin Flash, those being Nice Nature SSR (Wirt), and Tosen Jordan SR (Stamina).
Maruzensky and Special Week summer alternatives bring in the heat in Summer-themed event
New alternatives for Maruzensky and Special Week are coming alongside a new story event titled “Beaches, Bathing Suits & Blazing Trails”, which will occur from 14 October to 27 October.
Maruzensky (Summer) will retain her aptitudes for surface, distance, and strategy, however her kit will be one to look out for. Maruzensky (Summer)’s Unique Skill, “A Kiss for Courage”, will increase her velocity when positioned towards the front in the second half of the race given that she has recovered her endurance with a skill.
That being said, her Unqiue is easy to trigger since her innate skills are:
- Corner Recovery
- Productive Plan
- Moxie
Similar to Maruzensky (Summer), Special Week (Summer) also retains her aptitudes for surface, distance, and strategy. Her Unique is a recovery skill that will allow her to recover endurance after activating 2 skills mid-race.
There isn’t a preference for whether or not it’s a recovery, acceleration, velocity, or positional skill, but it’s easily doable since her innate skills are:
- Ramp Up
- Position Pilfer (Late Surger)
- Thunderbolt Step
The event will also feature two new support cards: Winning Ticket SSR (Stamina), and Sweep Tosho SSR (Speed).
Other events
