Saros shows off action-packed gameplay
Game developer Housemarque has dropped a gameplay reveal for its next game Saros, which appears to be a spiritual successor to Returnal. The story follows Soltari Enforcer Arjun Devraj (Rahul Kohli), who is investigating a stranded colony on an alien planet.

The game follows in Returnal’s footsteps with roguelike mechanics, allowing players to retain resources and progression after each death, thus becoming stronger no matter what. Devraj will be able to gain new weapons and enhancements for his suit after each in-game death.
The game also shows off two of his abilities: a shield that can be activated by tapping the R1 button, and Second Chance, which revives him after death. As Devraj explores one of the game’s many biomes, he runs into Chandran (Shunori Ramanthan) via a hologram, a key character he is seemingly searching for.
Saros launches on PlayStation 5 on 20 March, 2025.
