Annapurna Interactive unveils D-topia, People of Note, and Demi and the Fractured Dream at TGS 2025

All three titles are set to release in 2026.

Annapurna Interactive kicked off its Tokyo Game Show 2025 showcase by unveiling three new indie games for 2026. At the Annapurna Direct from Tokyo livestream, players got a first look at D-topia, a puzzle-adventure set in an AI-run world; People of Note, a turn-based RPG where battles play out through music; and Demi and the Fractured Dream, a colourful action-adventure full of swords, puzzles, and dangerous beasts.

D-topia: Cosy puzzle-adventure in a managed world

Life looks perfect in D-topia, but when you’re the one keeping that perfection running, things get complicated fast. Developed by Marumittu Games, this puzzle-adventure casts players as a “Facilitator,” a worker tasked with solving everyday issues for residents in a city overseen by AI.

Beneath its calm surface, the game asks players to weigh personal choices against the good of society, all while solving environmental puzzles and uncovering hidden cracks in the system. D-topia launches in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.

People of Note: A musical RPG with turn-based combat

People of Note takes the classic turn-based RPG formula and puts it on stage. Set in Chordia, a city obsessed with pop music, players follow Cadence, a rebel aiming to break free from the genre’s grip and win the Noteworthy Song Contest.

Combat unfolds through musical performance, with party members teaming up for genre-bending combos. Between battles, players will explore puzzle-filled dungeons and watch the story play out through full musical numbers. The game arrives in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Demi and the Fractured Dream: Classic action-adventure

Fans of old-school action-adventure games will find plenty to dig into with Demi and the Fractured Dream. Yarn Owl’s title puts players in the role of Demi, a voidsent fighting to escape a cursed fate. Guided by a mysterious voice and joined by Mergo, an acolyte, Demi sets out across the dreamlike world of Somnus.

Expect sword combat, platforming challenges, dungeons, boss fights, and puzzles in a vibrant world that calls back to classics like The Legend of Zelda. Demi and the Fractured Dream is planned for 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.

From an AI-managed city to a full-blown RPG musical and a sword-swinging adventure, Annapurna’s showcase left plenty to think about. Which of the three stands out most to you?
