Miposhka will be looking to help Team Spirit qualify for The International 2026 as their new coach.
Two-time The International (TI) champion Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov has returned to
Team Spirit just in time to help his team once again join the fight for the Aegis of Champions. However, the former Spirit captain will not be on the active roster, instead joining the coaching staff alongside Milan “MiLAN” Kozomara.
Miposhka will make his debut as Spirit's coach against
VP.Prodigy in the new combined European qualifier for TI 2026, which will take place from 21 to 28 June. According to Spirit's announcement, Miposhka will be coaching the team alongside MiLAN for the TI 2026 qualifiers, the Dota 2 event in the Esports World Cup 2026, and TI 2026 itself should the team qualify.
With Miposhka's return, Spirit's full roster is as follows:
Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk
Denis “Larl” Sigitov
Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov
Kosmynin “not me” Alexey
Aleksandr “rue” Filin
Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov (coach)
Milan “MiLAN” Kozomara (coach)
Miposhka rejoins Spirit as coach ahead of TI 2026 qualifiers and Esports World Cup 2026
Miposhka took a break from competitive play last October after Spirit failed to qualify for the Playoffs of TI 2025. Since Miposhka's departure, Spirit have been through quite the rollercoaster in the 2025-2026 competitive season.
Spirit signed Nikita “Panto” Balaganin to replace Miposhka as team captain, with the team showing promise under his leadership as they closed out 2025 with Top 6 finishes in FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 and BLAST Slam IV as well as 2nd place finishes in PGL Wallachia Season 6 and DreamLeague Season 27.
The new year then saw another upheaval for Spirit as longtime coach Ayrat “Silent” Gaziev parted ways with the team in mid-January. Spirit started to struggle after Silent's departure, finishing second in FISSURE Universe: Episode 8 to start February only to bomb out of BLAST Slam VI and DreamLeague Season 28 in 7th-10th and 11th-12th place, respectively, later in the month.
Spirit responded to that sudden downturn by announcing MiLAN will trial as their coach ahead of PGL Wallachia Season 7, where the team managed a respectable fourth place finish. However, Spirit's results in their next three tournament appearances showed the team was still stagnant. They finished 5th-6th in ESL One Birmingham 2026 to end March then had to settle for back-to-back 7th-8th place finishes in PREMIER SERIES and PGL Wallachia Season 8 in April.
With the climax of the season approaching and results still not up to par, Spirit overhauled its roster once again by signing Kosmynin “not me” Alexey as their new position 4 support player. With not me's entry into the team, Spirit's former position 4 support
Aleksandr “rue” Filin has been shifted to the position 5 support role while Panto has been moved to the inactive roster.
Spirit's first tournament with this new lineup saw them secure a commendable third place finish at DreamLeague Season 29. Inconsistency continued to plague the team, however, as they followed up that podium finish with a disappointing 7th-8th place exit at BLAST Slam VII.
Spirit's mixed results in the season meant that they failed to secure a direct invite to TI 2026, forcing them to have to secure their spot in this year's Dota 2 world championship tournament in the new combined European qualifier.
While four spots in TI 2026 will be up for grabs in the European qualifier, Spirit will be facing cutthroat competition against powerhouses from both Western and Eastern Europe. Some of Spirit's competitor in the European qualifier include
PARIVISION (playing as Team Vision),
Natus Vincere,
MOUZ,
Virtus.pro, and
Nigma Galaxy, among others.
It remains to be seen if Miposhka's return to Spirit as coach will be enough to secure the two-time TI-winning organisation another shot at securing their third Aegis of Champions.
