British organisation Team Nemesis has announced its entry into the Dota 2 esports scene on Wednesday (12 March) with an all-Filipino roster led by decorated veteran Marc Polo Luis “Raven” Fausto.

Red Laurence “Magg!e” Roa, position 4 support player
John “Jing” Duyan, and position 5 support player
James Erice “Erice” Guerra. Raven will be shifting to a new role in the offlane under Team Nemesis after spending most of his career as one of the best carry players in Southeast Asia.
Team Nemesis is a young organisation recently founded by former staff members of British organisation Into the Breach (ITB). In late January, ITB ceased operations after its CEO was found to have embezzled the organisation's funds for personal use that left it in a position in which it could no longer sustain itself.

Team Nemesis' new Dota 2 team now adds to its divisions competing in Halo, Trackmania, and Rainbow Six Siege. The organisation said in a press release that Dota 2 is “a title that holds deep significance to its founders”. It is worth noting that just a week before it was forced to shut down, ITB fielded a promising new Dota 2 roster headlined by The International 2017 champion Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov.
Team Nemesis added that this new chapter for the organisation with an all-Filipino team “signifies more than just expansion; it's a pursuit to build a legacy in a game they hold close to heart.”
Team Nemesis explained the reasoning behind their decision to field an all-Filipino roster for their entry into Dota 2 was because they recognise the Philippines “as a goldmine of raw talent and home of the best esports fans in the world.”
“We grew up [playing] Dota 2, and it’s one of the games that shaped our love for esports. It gave us some of the most unforgettable moments in gaming history. Now, we want to create those moments ourselves. And we believe there's no better place to begin that journey than in the Philippines,” said Team Nemesis CEO Chris Evans.
"The Philippines has some of the most gifted Dota 2 players in the world — they just need the right platform and a team that truly believes in their potential. We're here to be that team. Our goal is to nurture their talent, amplify their strengths, and help them conquer the global stage," added Team Nemesis COO Sebastian Lubczyk.
Team Nemesis is set to make their tournament debut in the Southeast Asian open qualifiers for DreamLeague Season 26, which will kick off on 28 March.
