The RES Regional Series EU #2 edition kicks off tomorrow with some well-known names and faces competing.
While we are waiting for PGL Wallachia Season 1 to begin on Friday, twelve teams from WEU and EEU will be battling it out beginning tomorrow, May 8th.
The RES Regional Series EU #2 is part of a new tournament circuit by Relog Media and 1xBet, taking place across three regions —South America, Asia, and Europe. The circuit will have a point system that will result in top teams from each region coming out to Belgrade, Serbia for the LAN Finals.
There will be a total of four series per region. So far two series have been played out in both SA and SEA.
SA team Invaders took the title for LATAM #1 and beastcoast claimed the title with a 2:0 sweep for LATAM #2.
Talon took the top prize in SEA #1 and Mongolian Team Tough bested the rest for the trophy in SEA #2.
Nemiga Gaming will be on hand to defend their title from last season for EU and they will be facing off against some teams with old-school favorites and veteran players. This season fans can catch Simon "Handsken" Haag playing for Rest Farmers, Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev on L1GA TEAM, Danil "Dendi" Ishutin with his B8 crew, and Nikola "LeBronDota" Popović competing with Spider Pigs. There are plenty of other well-known faces on the rosters that will be worth checking out.
Meanwhile, MOUZ was scheduled to participate, but has been announced as a last-minute replacement for Tundra in PGL Wallachia and most likely will need to withdraw.
There is no official announcement at this time as to what their status is or who will replace them.
The action kicks off tomorrow, Wednesday, May 8th with the group stages.

- Group stage - Round Robin format, 6 teams in 2 groups - total of 12 teams.
- Top three teams from the groups advance to the Playoffs.
- Playoff stage - Single elimination bracket, top teams from group advanced further on the bracket start.
- Group matches are bo2, Playoff matches are bo3.
