Dota 2 What to Watch

What to watch this week in Dota 2

What should you be watching in the Dota 2 scene this week? What we suggest might shock you!

Elite League just came to an end last night crowing Xtreme Gaming the champions after two weeks of competition. The Chinese team was able to usurp Team Falcons with a 3:1 victory.

Prior to the event Dota 2 has enjoyed qualifiers, leagues, and events one after another. There has never been a more active time in competition (ok, a hyperbole on our part but it does feel that way) – PGL Wallachia Season 1 qualifiers, DreamLeague Season 23 qualifiers, BetBoom Dacha, DreamLeague Season 22… the list goes on and that is just over the last two months.

And that's not all! Next Monday, April 22,  ESL One Birmingham 2024 will kick off with 12 teams competing for the lion's share of the $1,000,000 prize pool.

So in this (seemingly rare) week-long breather, we suggest taking a few moments to smell the flowers and touch grass and prepare yourself for the Dota 2 spring.

Don't forget Valve announced a few days ago that the Crownfall update would arrive sometime in the middle of April. In the next few days, we will be graced with the presence of Ring Master in Dota 2.

ESL One LAN tournament will be hosted in Birmingham in the second part of April. The last time ESL One was in the English city was in 2019 when Team Secret took the championship title, trophy, and lion's share of the $300,000 prize pool after besting Evil Geniuses 3:2 in the grand finals. Another ESL One LAN event was scheduled for March 2020, but was canceled due to the CoronaVirus Pandemic. That event was rescheduled to online only.
