Yuragi moved to inactive status at OG

OG are tinkering with their roster less than a week before the $1,000,000 DreamLeague Season 22.

Most surely, OG will play with a new carry at the upcoming tournament set to begin on Sunday, February 25. Artem "Yuragi" Golubiev, who has been with the organisation for over two years now, has been moved to an inactive status this week and was thanked for his time with OG.

“He has been an integral part of our success in OG 2.0, showcasing exceptional skill, dedication and passion,” posted OG on X. “Two years and two trophies later, we're so grateful for our journey. Thank you for everything.”

Yuragi joined OG in The International 2021 (TI10) aftermath. That was the last event where fans got to see the two times, back to back Champions, Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen, Sébastien "Ceb" Debs, and Johan "N0tail" Sundstein playing side by side under the OG banner. It was also the event that triggered a rebuild at OG.

When he joined the team, Yuragi had been playing in the professional scene for just about a year. Six months after joining OG, he lifted his first Major trophy at ESL One Stockholm. A few months later, he claimed a second tournament trophy at ESL One Malaysia and made his TI debut with a top eight placement in Singapore at The International 2022.

But despite a strong first year under the OG banner, 2023 was filled with underwhelming performances. OG failed to qualify for The International 2023 and they also started the new year with a bottom four placement at the recently concluded BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024.

Looking ahead, OG need a good placement at the upcoming DreamLeague Season 22, which is a part of the ESL Pro Tour and can give them a huge chance at securing a spot at the first edition of Esports World Cup that will be held this summer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with a very generous prize pool.

DreamLeague Season 22 is just around the corner. The tournament is set to begin at the end of the week, on the 25th of February, with 16 teams entering the battle for the title and a share of the $1,000,000 prize pool. So, fans should expect an announcement regarding Yuragi’s replacement to come out sooner rather than later.
