L1ga Team enters Dota 2 with prominent players

Stavok League joins forces with some of Russia's famed players to form L1ga Team before the BetBoom Dacha closed qualifiers beginning in just two days.

There's a new Russian stack on the block and its bursting with talent and experience. Formed in the days before the closed qualifiers for BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, a mix of players from Tundra Esports, 9pandas, and Nemiga will try their hand for a spot in the $1,000,000 event taking place in Dubai next month.

"Meet the L1GA TEAM: a new stage in the development of big e-sports.

The Stavok League is pleased to announce a partnership with a new Dota 2 e-sports team. We intend to comprehensively contribute to the development of Russian e-sports and help professional players achieve outstanding success.
There is no doubt that L1GA TEAM will be able to earn a worthy place in the eSports hall of fame and win many significant victories in the new gaming season .

L1GA TEAM composition:

• Roman “ Ramzes666” Kushnarev
• Gleb “ kiyotaka ” Zyryanov
Ilyas “ kasane ” Gainullin
• Alexander “ Immersion” Khmelevskoy
• Vladimir “ RodjER” Nikogosyan

See you soon at the BBD closed qualifications, which will begin on January 7. The first victory is much closer than you think!"

Less than a month after signing the ex-TSM roster, Tundra Esports dropped the roster after taking 7-8th place at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023. Things did not go as well as planned, hoped, or even thought of for 9Pandas, being the first team eliminated during the group stage having only secured a single victory match and failing to claim a full series win. They also ended up losing the bulk of their players almost immediately after.

Things were not working for either team as intended, so what better way to ring in the new year and a new season but with a merger of talent and stardom?

This new stack might just shake-up the EEU scene and give both BetBoom and Team Spirit a run for their money.

L1ga Team will be in action for fans to catch live on Sunday, January 7th at 11:00 CET. Only one team from the region will qualify for a spot in Dubai.

Moving into the new year, February brings around BetBoom Dacha Dubai, a $1,000,000 LAN event in Dubai from February 4-16th. The open and closed qualifiers begin right after the new year. In addition, the EPT will resume in February with DreamLeague Season 22, followed by an ESL One LAN tournament hosted in Birmingham in the second part of April.
