BetBoom takes a clean and convincing 2:0 sweep over Keyd Stars at The International 2023.
The weekend at The International 2023 wraps up with another four elimination series.
The first of the series kicked off with the first Brazilian team in TI history to make it out of the group stage (and the last SA team in the event), taking on a stacked and favored Eastern European team. Chaos and aggression were full on the menu.
But it seemed that things were much more one-sided than expected. With a very fluid and dominant series, BetBoom crushed Keyd Stars with their aggression in a 2:0 sweep.
BetBoom TeamIn the first game, Keyd Stars started clapping in the booth as they went with a last pick of Ember Spirit. While it was the first time the hero was picked this TI, their coach revealed that the reason they were clapping was because of their confidence in the hero.
Unfortunately, we never got to see what all the hype was about. BetBoom had full control of the game from start to finish. At 27 minutes in, they had an 18k gold lead and firm control, and Keyd Stars had only six kills on the board. Seven minutes later they doubled their lead and closed out the match for the first game advantage.

In the second match, BetBoom came out with a level of aggression that was hard to match. Keyd Stars lost all three lanes, but they managed to keep their composure and pull things together. The Naga Siren was struggling so much to get online and then BetBoom just started to beat her down so she couldn't rise. In 37 minutes they closed out the game and series.
Keyd Stars goes home in 13th-16th place with $46,146 in their pockets.
BetBoom will continue to advance through the lower brackets to face Talon later tonight, Monday, October 23 at 01:00 CEST.
The International 2023 Main Event format
Main Event - October 20 - October 22 (Playoffs Weekend) & October 27 - October 29 (Finals Weekend), 2023
- Sixteen teams play in a double-elimination bracket
- Eight teams begin in the Upper Bracket, and eight in the Lower Bracket
- Grand Final is Bo5, all other series are Bo3
The International 2023 Broadcasts
The event will be officially streamed in five different languages - English, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, and Portuguese. In addition, there will be other streams with various languages available for fans across the globe.
