Day two in the playoffs stage at Bali Major is all about eliminations.

Four teams will head home at the end of the day and unfortunately for the NA Dota, that means there are no more teams from the region to carry the torch.

Shopify Rebellion were sent packing by beastcoast, who, by surviving the first lower bracket series in Bali, have locked themselves in for The International 2023.  SR were already qualified for TI12, so the early elimination won’t affect them in that regard.

Starting the series, beastcoast targeted Artour "Arteezy" Babaev with their bans. They removed Morphling, Medusa, Juggernaut and Lifestealer from the draft and forced SR to bring a less seen carry in the current meta. SR were looking to apply early pressure on the map with a Razor-Snapfire-Broodmother trio core, which they successfully did. However, a dieback from Arteezy at the 25 minute mark opened the window for the SA representative to mount a full comeback and start the lower bracket campaign on the right foot.

Heading into the second game, RTZ bounced back for his team with a menacing Morphling and pushed the series into a decisive game three where he got to play the Morph again. SR went all in on a pushing strategy that revolved around early skirmishes and Lycan’s power to take control of the map, but beastcoast had the answer in a carry Shadow Fiend that was able to keep the laning stage balanced, transitioning into melting down buildings.

With beastcoast moving on, the day at Bail Major continues with BetBoom Team fighting once again for a top 8 finish and a ticket to TI.

BetBoom, who were initially in the Upper Bracket semifinals, got penalised as Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko got caught watching a stream of his own match during the series against Tundra Esports from yesterday.

Additionally, Pure won’t be playing with BetBoom Team for the rest of the tournament and Roman "Resolut1on" Fomynok, who was a part of the official English broadcast pannel at the major, will be standing in.
