Evil Geniuses and Fnatic took their respective region titles and the $21,000 first place prizes for the BTS Pro Series online event.
Over the course of two weeks, both SEA and Americas were locked into online battles to determine the kings of their respective regions and seize the $21,000 first-place prize.
For SEA, Fnatic were just heads above the rest. They went through the entire group stage undefeated with a 7:0 record and then cruised through the playoff brackets, dropping only one game to Boom Esports in the first round. They completely dominated the grand finals with a 3:0 sweep over TNC. It is clear that the SEA team has grown by leaps and bounds through the season and fans are hopeful to see them continue to perform in top shape.
Meanwhile, across the world, Americas brought together teams from both the North and the South. beastcoast had a heartbreaking performance for their fans, falling out of contention in the group stage with only one win under their belt for a 1:6 record. Quincy Crew stood on top in the group stage with an undefeated 7:0 record. However, when it came to the playoffs, it was Evil Geniuses, even with their stand-ins that took the cake. The NA giants bested Cr4ZY in the first round before sweeping through Quincy Crew in two heavily one-sided matches and then overpowered them once again 3:1 in the grand finals.
