Virtus Pro, OpTic Gaming, TNC and iG.V will battle it out in the Manila Invitational
The All Star Weekend in Manila from 13-15th October will also feature prominent Dota personalities of the likes of Chuan, SirActionSlacks, Merlini, and TobiWan.
Hosted at the Mall of Asia Arena in the heart of Manila, the second weekend of October will be quite a treat for the ever-enthusiastic Pinoy Dota 2 community, thanks to the All Star Weekend in Manila. Featuring famous Dota personalities from all over the world, including (but not limited to) Chuan, TobiWan, SirActionSlacks, Merlini and PindaPanda, the event is definitely not your orthodox esports event!
Owing to the recent changes to the Dota Pro Circuit, the weekend is expected to divert attention from the SL i-League Invitational Minor, being held from 12-15th October. However, the four teams participating at the Invitational - Virtus Pro, OpTic Gaming, TNC, and iG.Vitality - have all established their dominance in their respective regions and would not be going down without a tough fight. Following a different pattern from traditional Dota tournaments, the event not only features a tournament between some of the strongest representatives of each region but also features a Manila Challenge between 4 Filipino teams as well as a 1v1 Challenge, a trend that has vanished with time from most major tournaments. Furthermore, the tournament even includes a "Word Up" rap battle between the enthusiastic attendees as well as the filming of a documentary - "Underdogs Rising".
With more surprises to come as the remaining personalities get announced, the All Star weekend in Manila is definitely not an event you should pass, as a Filipino fan! Get your tickets from SMTickets, with the prices at PHP 4,240 for All-Star VIP, PHP 2,650 for All-Star Lower Box and PHP 530 for general admission.
