Execration clinched a spot in the ROG Masters APAC regional qualifiers after besting Entity Gaming 2:1 in the Philippines LAN qualifiers.
Without missing a beat, the famed Filippino team charged forward into the new season with vigor. As one of four teams to earn their spot in the ROG Masters Philippines qualifiers held at the SM City North Edsa mall complex in Quezon City, the team looked to be in top form. They started out the event knocking out Imperium Pro Team with a 2:0 sweep and then set their sights on the Indian based team stocked with three Filipinos, one Indian and one Danish professional player.
Securing the first win, the team was hoping they had hit their stride, but Entity handed them a loss to even up the series. Undeterred, XCTN struck back to claim the last game victory and the qualifying spot. This was only the second of four phases for the team to compete in as part of the road to ROG Masters LAN. The next phase will be the APAC regional event held on line. Dates have yet to be announced.
Only four days ago the organization announced a roster change, releasing Fernando 'Nando' Mendoza from the team and welcoming back Kim 'Gabbi' Villafuerte.
Execration Lineup:
Kim 'Gabbi' Villafuerte
