The Final Match 2017 brings Alliance and Team Spirit to Peru to face Infamous

The Final Match 2017 is slated to kick off tomorrow, July 7th in Lima Peru - featuring none other than Alliance, Team Spirit and MVP.Hot6ix as the overseas guests.

Infamous will have one last LAN battle to get in shape for TI7 as they will wage war against seven other acclaimed teams from South America and afar. Alliance, Team Spirit and MVP.Hot6ix have made the trek halfway across the world for the largest LAN tournament to hit the stage in South America.

The eight invited and qualified teams will be competing for a slice of the $50,000 prize pool offered up by the Vastion Group - the producer of the largest event of electronic music in Peru. This is the company's first foray into esports and the South American community hype is real.

Separated into two groups of four teams the Group Stage will take place in its entirety on July 7th as the teams compete in a one game series Round Robin format. The first and second place of each group will be seeded into the upper brackets of the main event, leaving the third and fourth place teams to head south to the lower brackets.

The Final Match 2017 main event will span two days - July 8-9th, featuring a double elimination bracket. All upper bracket matches will be held in a best-of-three format with the grand finals increasing to best-of-five.

A lower bracket seeding and run can mean trouble for any team as all series will be played in a best-of-one elimination format with only the finals of the lower bracket being a best-of-three series.

Toby "TobiWan" Dawson, Ioannis "Fogged" Loucas and Gareth "Gareth" Bateson will be on site to bring the action live to audiences around the world in English.
