TnC have thrived in the lower brackets of Galaxy Battles to lay claim to the lower bracket finals and a top three finish.
With everything on the line in the brutal best-of-one elimination series, TnC Pro absolutely shellacked Infamous in a 20 minute whirlwind. The Peruvians didn't know what hit them as Marc Polo "Raven" Luis Fausto struck them senseless with his flawless performance on Sven. At the same time Mousesports was overwhelming HappyFeet - who just couldn't seem to find their footing to gain a single advantage or opportunity from start to finish.
With a sigh of relief, both TnC and Mousesports advanced further into the lower brackets, poised for more strong performances.
Lower Brackets Round 2
iG.Vitality made it clear in the first game they were not going to roll over and take things easy as they trampled over TnC in just over 20 minutes Game 1. As powerful as iG.Vitality looked at the start, TnC were able to hit the reset button and taken on their opponents without hesitation in the following two games. A back and forth thriller in the second match gave way to dominance in the third match. TnC had staved off defeat with the 2:1 victory and sent iG.Vitality home.
Meanwhile, the Greeks were also facing a fierce opponent. On the back of an incredible Storm Spirit played by Zeng "Ori" Jiaoyang, a flawless game by Wong "ChuaN" Hock Chuan and armed with the home field advantage, ViCi Gaming seized control with an overwhelming victory in Game 1. Another team may have had their spirits dashed, but not Mousesports. After their rocky start, they choked out VG in the second game and before dismantling them in the second, eliminating the second Chinese team of the day on their own turf.
Lower Brackets Round 3
The last elimination series of the day pitted TnC and Mousesports against each other. In grueling, hour long clash, it was TnC who would take the first match. Carlo "Kuku" Palad's Queen of Pain outdid Omar "Madara" Dabasas's Sven - both of which were played superbly. Mousesports came out roaring in the second game, but TnC kept calling their bluff and standing their ground against the Greeks. A last hail mary play cost Mousesports the team fight almost 1 hour in and a spectacular lower bracket run by both teams came to a halting end.
Mousesports have been eliminated while TnC have the promise of at least third place heading into the lower bracket finals.
The teams are back in action tomorrow at 04:15 CEST with the Upper Bracket Finals between Planet Odd and Newbee, followed by the lower bracket finals.
