Prodota Gaming during the Istanbul bootcamp
Although Prodota Gaming just secured in April four new players to join the long-time captain Ylli 'Garter' Ramadani, it seems that they gel into a cohesive unit and now they have to take their chances via open qualifiers for TI 7.
A few weeks after bringing in four new guys, back in April this year, Prodota Gaming managed to win the ProDotA Cup Europe #17 and after the promising start they packed and moved into the ex-Team Secret house from Istanbul, Turkey for a 10 day bootcamp. The experience was meant to bind the team and get them a good performance boost in the several qualifiers that happened after the Kiev Major. Unfortunately for them, the results didn’t quite meet the expectations, Prodota Gaming placing second or third in all the qualifier tournaments they played.
A second place at Zotac Cup qualifiers forced them to stay home instead of going to Taipei, as well as the third place at the Dota Summit 7 and Galaxy Battles European qualifiers was not enough for them to participate at either of these last two LANs ahead the TI 7 invites.
Thinking that Prodota still had a good chance at fighting for a TI 7 ticket via a regional qualifier invite, and looking at what run they had at the Galaxy Battles EU qualifiers where they forced a tiebreaker for the qualifying ticket after taking down teams like Vega Squadron, NiP or EPG, it really is a pity to see them now parting ways with four players at once. From the entire roster, only Ylli 'Garter' Ramadani will remain with the organization while Milan 'Milan' Kozomara, Neta '33' Shapira, Greg 'Keyser' Kallianiotis, and Alexei 'j4' Lipai are left with less than a week to find a carry player if they want to try their chances via open qualifiers.
