Clutch Gamers are going to EPICENTER Moscow

After a convincing performance against Team Faceless in a tough three-game series, Clutch Gamers were able to win their third qualifier Grand Finals this month.

Having already qualified for the Summit 7 as well as the Manila Masters, Clutch Gamers have now been able to successfully win their third SEA qualifiers as they secure themselves a trip to Moscow. Having yet to attend a LAN event but already qualifying for three of them, Clutch Gamers look like they have established their dominance in SEA, having beaten TNC Pro Team in the grand finals of Manila Masters, WarriorsGaming.Unity in the Summit 7's grand finals and now they take down Team Faceless in convincing fashion to qualify for EPICENTER.

The qualifiers were hotly contested across the South-East Asian region, but Clutch Gamers appeared to be a cut above the rest, having beaten Team Faceless in the upper bracket finals without dropping a single game, and then showing in the Grand Finals again how strong this Phillipine squad is shaping up to be. Having formed before the Kiev Major, the Pinoys lost to their brethren from TNC as they were unable to qualify for the Valve event. Yet to play a LAN since, Clutch Gamers are looking to establish their mark on the international scene, as they will be attending three LAN events in close proximity to each other, and will look to grab Valve's attention and perhaps even secure a direct invite to the International 7 (which might seem a bit far-fetched right now). With their 2-1 victory, Clutch Gamers join Thunderbirds and LGD.Forever Young in the list of qualified teams, with only the grand finals of the European qualifiers yet to be played out.

Clutch Gamers' qualified roster

Philippines Kim Villafuerte 'Gabbi' Santos
Philippines Armel 'Armel' Paul
Philippines Kenneth 'FLYSOLO' Comma
Philippines Marvin Salvador 'Boombacs' Rushton
Philippines Rafael 'Rapy' Palo

EPICENTER is going to hold its second edition in Moscow from June 4 - 11. There will be ten teams who will be battling it out in a double elimination format for a slice of the $500,000 prize pool. You can tune in to our hub for EPICENTER to keep up to date with the latest results over HERE.
