A few days after MoonMeander registered with EternaLEnVy and a couple of his players from NP for the Canadian WESG National qualifiers, Arteezy joins the battle under the Stan and Pals team banner.
The Canadian national qualifiers for the World Electronic Sports Games just got even more interesting with Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev teaming up with Peter 'Waytosexy' Nguyen, a player on EverNovaS, and ex-FDL member, Wilson 'Fronz' Teng, for a shot in the single elimination bracket of the regional qualifiers. Artour’s team, Stan and Pals (SAP), will eventually have to face EnVy’s NP if both teams advance deep into the tournament. Canada has been given two spots for the regional LAN finals.
The registrations for the WESG Canadian qualifiers closed today, the 25th of September, and will feature only six teams fighting for the top two spots. The competition is scheduled to take place from the 26th to 28th while the regional LAN finals will be held in Sao Paolo, Brazil between October 21st and 23rd. A total of 12 squads from the American qualifiers will make the cut for the regional LAN finals to decide the six who will qualify for the $1.5M WESG Global Grand Finals.
