The fall roster lock is less than a week away, and top Chinese teams still have empty slots.
Bai 'rOtk' Fan, who initially announced his retirement after failing to qualify with Vici Gaming for The International 6, made a post in which he announced himself as part of a new Vici Gaming team.
According to him, Vici Gaming Reborn will be promoted to Vici Gaming with minor roster changes, and a new team will appear, namely VG.J. He doesn’t disclose what the letter “J” stands for, but he does mention the rosters for these two teams. Keep in mind that with no official announcements coming from any of the teams he mentioned in his leaks; these are just suppositions and rumors.
According to rOtK, Vici Gaming (read: the previous Vici Gaming Reborn) will lose Wang 'Nono' Xin and will replace him with Zheng 'ghost' Jie, member of FTD Club C at this moment. The addition of ghost is an interesting choice as he played only in the carry position at FTD C but VG.R already have a carry player: Yang 'Zyf' Pu. Nono, who played mid, missed LAN events due to his passport problems, and coach Tong 'Mikasa' Junjie had to step in.
VG.J, the new Vici Gaming team, will keep only Xu 'hym' Zhi and Bai 'rOtK' Fan from the old VG roster and will bring in LGD’s TI6 carry, Sun 'Agressif' Zheng, EHOME’s support Lu 'Fenrir' Chao, plus one undisclosed new player in mid.

According to the same rOtK source, Fenrir’s place at EHOME will be taken by Newbee’s support Wong 'ChuaN' Hock Chuan. Ex-Newbee members Zeng 'Faith' Hongda and Xu 'uuu9' Han, who are both currently playing for TongFu, will reportedly join them. If these rumors are true--and keeping in mind the fact that Faith is a mid player while uuu9 is known for his carry position--this might mean that Newbee will also lose Zhang 'Mu' Pan. Their carry for TI6, Chen 'Hao' Zhihao, already announced at least six months of break from the competitive scene.
In his post, rOtK also made a couple of assumptions on how certain teams will run in the new season, pointing at Invictus Gaming Vitality. They are the only team not taking any vacation time, and he expects Invictus Gaming Vitality to have the fastest breakout in the fall season. rOtK thinks quite the opposite about LGD, saying “LGD will be only a meme this year”.
