Starting on 8th of September, the Swedish qualifiers for the $1.5M WESG LAN event, featuring Team_Team, a squad consisting of Loda, EGM, Handsken, jonassomfan, NinjaMicke and Zai as a reserve.
A week ago, during the drop period established by Valve for the post TI6 shuffle, Alliance lost three of their members; s4, AdmiralBulldog and Akke decided to part ways with their long time Swedish team. Since then no new players showed up on the Majors Registration list as joining the team. However, for the Swedish national qualifiers of World Electronic Sports Games, the two remaining players of Alliance, Jonathan 'Loda' Berg and Jerry 'EGM' Lundkvist signed up with T_T. The Swedish line-up might as well be a “trial” for the new Alliance in fall season as Valve’s shuffle window will close on 18th of September while the European and CIS qualifiers for WESG will end at the beginning of October with 20 teams battling for the eight spots available for the LAN Finals.
Apart from Loda and EGM, T_T’s lineup consists of the recently departed from compLexity Simon 'Handsken' Haag, the last year’s Ninja in Pyjamas offlaner Jonas 'jonassomfan' Lindholm and the less known in the Dota 2 scene, Micke 'NinjaMicke' Nguyen who recently switched from HoN. Evil Geniuses’ TI6 support Ludwig 'zai' Wåhlberg is also listed in the T_T roster but as a reserve.
If T_T finishes top two in the Swedish national qualifiers they secure the trip to the last stage of European and CIS qualifiers and will have to travel to Kiev for a chance at the $1.5M LAN finals from December this year. From 6th to 9th of October 20 teams coming from the first stage of qualifiers will be battling in a LAN Setup in Kiev, where only eight will make the cut for the Main Event of WESG. T_T’s first match is scheduled for tomorrow, 9th of September at 19:00 CEST against mix123 and will be covered by StarLadder and BeyondTheSummit on their twitch.tv respective channels.
