Digital Chaos end LGD's TI6 run

Digital Chaos showed their gusto and eliminated LGD in the lower bracket with a strong 2-0 over the Chinese squad.

For game one of Digital Chaos vs LGD, the NA squad went with a very strong support ganking lineup with the Shadow Demon, Kunkka and Nyx Assassin hoping to make space for their late-game cores: Naga Siren and Invoker. LGD countered with a more tempo control lineup, with a Templar Assassin and Lifestealer, looking to push the speed of the game.

In the early game, DC looked to secure to Roman 'Resolut1on' Fominok's farm, the SD and Kunkka spending much of their time in that aggressive offlane, grabbing two kills. In the midlane, Yao 'Maybe' Lu looked to repeat his impressive performance yesterday up against a signature Aliwi 'w33haaa' Omar Invoker with his Templar Assassin. Early on, LGD held a good position despite giving up a few support kills in the safelane, as Maybe and Sun 'xh??-Agressif' Zheng simply got free farm. However, Resolut1on also got a free lane, which he put to good use and grabbed his Radiance around 16.

While LGD seemed to have control after the laning phase, with their cores getting great farm, an extended fight around 16 minutes gave DC a huge gold swing and the momentum. With time ticking, LGD tried desperately to find an opening, but with the pressure of the Nyx Assassin and brilliant splitting by DC, the Chinese squad were slowly suffocated and pushed back to their base. DC took the game around 40 minutes after a big teamfight win showed the power difference between the two lineups.

Game two saw a very push oriented draft, with a first appearance by the Necrophos for TI6 for LGD, the Chinese squad looking to end the game early with the five man strat. Early on, LGD looked in control as they constantly found the Rasmus 'MiSeRy-' Filipsen on the Bounty Hunter. While LGD took towers, DC underscored them by taking towers of their own.

As the contest transitioned into the middle game, DC seemed to have the upper hand, with LGD forced to try and five man while the DC scores simply split and farmed. The pace of the game slowed down immensely as both teams had great vision on the map, making any opening for a gank very risky. It came down to David 'Moo-Fak' Hull on his Timbersaw to swing the momentum for DC and that he did, getting absolutely massive with his Bloodstone and Pipe.

The late game saw LGD on their backfoot, as DC slowly took map control, the w33haaa Mirana and Timbersaw doing massive work against the ill-equipped LGD lineup. Ultimately, it came down to the great itemization choices from DC, which completely shut down the Necrophos ulti and the absolutely clutch saves by Martin 'Saksa' Sazdov on the Winter Wyvern. DC finally cracked the highground at 53 minutes, taking mega creeps and the victory shortly after. MVP's go to Saksa and Moo, both playing phenomenally against the formidable Chinese squad.
