Only five days after they announced the addition of Michael 'ninjaboogie' Ross to their squad, Mineski makes a last second change before heading to the Pro Gamer League Summer Finals.
Briefly announced in a press release on the Mineski official website, the new addition of Gavin 'Meracle' Kang will be also the last one as the team prepares to travel to Wuhan, China from a directly invited spot at the Summer Season LAN event of Pro Gamer League(PGL) 2016. Meracle, known for his amazing split push capability on heroes like Anti Mage and Naga Siren, will play the carry role for Mineski, meaning that Ryan Jay 'Bimbo' Qui will move back in his mid role.
Initially taken on in a substitute position, ninjaboogie will be swapped to a primary role for the PGL LAN event while both Benhur 'Benhur' Lawis and Mark 'Cast' Pilar will be benched.
Current Mineski roster from position 1 to 5:
Gavin 'Meracle' Kang
Ryan Jay 'Bimbo' Qui
Jun 'Bokerino' Kanehara
Julius 'Julz' De Leon
Michael 'ninjaboogie' Ross
The new line up, as mentioned above, will make its debut this weekend in China, at PGL where eight teams will fight for the $100,000 prize pool. Held on the Optics Valley Stadium in Wuhan, China, the tournament format features a seeding group stage and a playoffs double elimination bracket. Mineski have been drawn in group B, next to IG Vitality, EHOME.Keen and Brave Heart while the other group features the likes of MVP Phoenix and CDEC Gaming.
