The first direct invite to the Nanyang Championships #2 is Team Secret, the winner of the first Nanyang Championships.
Team Secret will be traveling to Shanghai, China for the Nanyang Championships #2 to defend their title as the champions of the first season. The other three direct invites and qualifier details are expected to be revealed in the coming days.
The Team Secret who 3-2'ed Vici Gaming in November last year at the first season of the Nanyang Championships is a different beast from the one going to Shanghai. It will surprise none of you to find out that this is mainly because of roster changes undertaken after their victory at the Shanghai Major, where they replaced their mid and offlane players in a reshuffle. So far the 'notable' achievements by this iteration of the Secret lineup are 5th-8th place finishes at the DotaPit #4 LAN finals in March and ESL One Manila in late April, they are also currently playing at the EPICENTER LAN finals.
As the name implies, the Nanyang Championships #2 is the second season of KeyTV's Nanyang Championships tournament series, which had its debut in Singapore last November. The LAN event for the second season will be hosted in Shanghai, China from the 6th to 10th of July and will feature eight teams competing for a $200,000 base prize pool.
