The playing coach trend is extending to the SEA region as Mineski.Sports5 announced Mark 'Cast' Pilar today as their new fifth support player.
Since their great run at the Frankfurt Major, Mineski.Sports5 have struggled to maintain the high level of performance, and have tinkered with their lineup already in an attempt to rectify this during the Spring shuffle. The recent result at ESL One Manila was far from satisfactory for the organization and fans alike, and with just a few days before the Manila Major qualifiers, they’ve undergone yet another roster change.
Team’s coach Mark 'Cast' Pilar will be replacing Jessie Cristy 'JessieVash' Cuyco in the position five support. However, this will not affect Mineski’s potential invite for the Manila Major SEA regional qualifiers. Cast signed up with the team on the majors registration list as substitute making this move a roster rotation, with JessieVash demoted to substitute, rather than a new signing.
Mineski.Sports5 roster:
Ryan Jay 'Bimbo' Qui
Benhur 'Ben' Lawis
Jun 'Bok' Kanehara
Julius 'Julz' De Leon
Mark 'Cast' Pilar
Valve rules regarding roster changes after the shuffle deadline:
Making changes to your roster will cause your team to no longer be eligible to receive a direct invitation to either the Major or the Regional Qualifiers. Note that this only applies to roster changes outside of your Primary and Substitute members - there is no penalty for swapping between Primary and Substitute slots. In order to swap Primary and Substitute slots, both the Primary and Substitute players must agree to the swap.
