Vici Gaming Reborn must make their way into their first major LAN tournament without their full squad as a key player fails to make it to Kiev.
Vici Gaming Reborn have announced that their Mid-player, Wang 'NoNo' Xin, will be unable to attend the LAN finals of the Starladder|I-league Invitational. NoNo was apparently unable to secure a passport prior to the event and as such was unable to travel to Kiev. In response to this unfortunate event, VG.Reborn’s coach, Tong 'mikasa' Junjie will be operating as a stand-in for the team.
Mikasa, considered one of the premier coaches in Chinese Dota, has worked with a wide range of top-tier Chinese teams over the years. He is renowned for Coaching Newbee during their dominant performance at TI4 and has also worked with both CDEC and LGD Gaming.
This upset will put increased pressure on the junior VG team who already faced an uphill battle at the invitational. Undoubtedly the underdogs of the tournament, VG.Reborn does possess some experienced talent with the likes of Xu 'fy' Linsen and Liang 'DDC' Faming. However, it remains to be seen whether this will be enough for them to stand against the titan’s they are set to face.
