STARK eSports Dota 2 Squad Disbands

Finnish stack STARK eSports disbands their Dota 2 Squad.

Team Stark, previously known as 4 Anchors + Sea Captain, has officially disbanded today as announced both on Twitter and on their official page.

The original team was formed in 2014 and was picked up by STARK eSports organization in September 2015, after stabilizing their roster with the addition of Kalle 'Trixi' Saarinen. They looked promising, announced as Finnish eSports Team of the Year on the 17th of October 2015. Continuing onward they underperformed despite coming close in a lot of qualifiers, including the Shanghai Major. This trend continued and in March 2016 the team disbanded with the official statement from Matti 'Laged' Parkkila, the Manager of 4ASC/STARK Dota2:

The last couple of months have been tough for our team. We have been trying our best to improve, to get back to our former level. However, our efforts have been in vain – we haven’t been able to achieve the improvements we wanted. The decision we have made as a team is to disband and take some time off. The players need a fresh start after having spent an enormous amount of time and effort together growing as a team.

We wish them all good luck further and with the upcoming shuffle after the Shanghai Major, we are certain the players will find new teams and STARK eSports will find a new squad to sign.
