Spac_ Creators create space in their lineup ahead of the Frankfurt Major open qualifiers

Spac_ Creators have attempted to increase their chances at progressing through the SEA Open Qualifiers for the Frankfurt Major by replacing Yang ‘Deth.’ Wu Heng with Darcy ‘Godot’ Jose.

After a disappointing month of October in which they lost three of their four games, the Australian outfit Spac_ Creators announced on their Facebook page that they would try to shake off their poor form by replacing one of their support players, Yang ‘Deth.’ Wu Heng with Darcy ‘Godot’ Jose. Godot offers considerably more experience than Deth., as he has played for a number of professional teams, most notably for Can’t Say Wisps. As both Justin ‘xMusiCa’ Yuen and Yaowen ‘Tudi’ Teo formerly played with Godot on Can't Say Wisps, his arrival on Spac_ Creators may allow the team to play with a higher level of synergy than they did whilst Deth. was on the team, leading to better results.

Godot is most known for his Ogre Magi and Chen play. As these heroes are not featured prominently in the current metagame, Godot will have to turn to heroes that he has not played regularly on a professional level. Participating in the upcoming qualifiers for the Frankfurt Major will establish whether Godot will be able to do so. His performance will play a considerable role in the degree of success that Spac_ Creators may or may not have in the qualifiers.

Unfortunately, due to the roster change, Spac_ Creators will have to compete in the Open Qualifiers for the event. The situation has been further complicated by the fact that Godot, Justin ‘xMusiCa’ Yuen, and Taesung ‘Velo’ Kim were on a flight to Malaysia when the first Open Qualifier took place. As a result, Spac_ Creators will attempt to qualify in the second round of the South-East Asia Open Qualifiers, taking place on the 8th and 9th of October.

Spac_ Creators roster stands as follows:

New Zealand James ‘NumoT-N!!’ Marshall
Australia Taesung ‘Velo’ Kim
Australia Justin ‘xMusiCa’ Yuen
Singapore Yaowen ‘Tudi’ Teo
Australia Darcy ‘Godot’ Jose

Spac_ Creators will face stiff competition in the South-East Asia Open Qualifier. Only time will tell whether the addition of Godot will be the difference between a spot in the Regional Qualifiers and an early exit from the Open Qualifiers.
