Both North American representative teams at The International 5, Archon and compLexity have been eliminated in the semifinals stage of BTS Americas. The grand finalists are ROOT Gaming and Summer’s Rift.
What should have been a good training ground for the winners of The International 5 US qualifiers, compLexity and the wildcard contenders Archon, turned into an unfortunate result for them as both have been eliminated from BTS Americas.
In an interesting turn of events, after a very good run through the tournament, compLexity lost the best of three semifinals series if front of DeMoN and ixmike88’s team, Summer’s Rift. In the second game of the series between coL and Summer’s Rift the TI5 caliber team have been seriously outdrafted as Rift managed to grab for themselves one of the most annoying combo, Zeus-Bloodseeker on top of a Techies.
After they barely made it in the third round of the tournament, where they struggled to defeat Not.Today, things went from bad to worse for Archon as well who lost with a 2-0 final score in front of FLUFFNSTUFF and TC’s team, ROOT Gaming who surprised their opponents with very late game carries (Anti Mage and Phantom Lancer)
The last act of BTS Americas, the grand finals, will consist in a best of five game series. The confrontation between the two finalist, ROOT Gaming and Summer’s Rift is scheduled to start today, July 19th, at 23:00 CET.
