After the disappointing results from US qualifiers for The International 5 Mousesports have to face yet another loss that might shake their roster yet again. With the GSL-style format allowing each team only two defeats Mouz were facing potential elimination after their first lost match against of Ninja in Pyjamas. Going into the second game they had to fight an unleashed brute force of Fnatic, Mushi’s team who was also in danger after losing the first game of the day versus Virtus.Pro but managed to grab the victory and stay alive in the tournament.
However the first half of the game was favoring Mouz who seemed to have a more balanced draft putting Fnatic way behind in gold and experience. Towards the end of the game Fnatic were with both top and bottom lanes exposed as they lost T4 towers and melee barracks while Mouz base was intact. Even so, the determination and the confidence in their heroes potential kept them fighting and with a bold move at the 54th minute mark Fnatic decided to abandon the base and go for a last Roshan fight. Placing the Aegis on Mushi’s Dragon Knight, Fnatic went for the final push which lead to an insane team fight that lasted for couple of minutes making the guest commentator 7ckngMad to exclaim "that was the most epic fight I've seen in a long while!". The young and talented discovery of the Malaysian squad, KecikImba on Leshrac alongside with Ky.xY who put up a supporting show on Pugna made the difference and at the end of the day Fnatic is the one emerging victorious. With one loss and one win they still have to take down Virtus.Pro, game scheduled for the second day of jDL-MLG Pro League, in order to advance into the playoffs.
An unexpected situation has occurred in the group A as the main favorite for this LAN event, Evil Geniuses did not manage to take two victories , Alliance being the one to upset the DAC champions. As a matter of fact, Alliance is already the winning team in their group, with two wins in their two games played, while EG has to play their elimination game versus London Conspiracy. Winner of the match moves on to play Ninjas in Pyjamas in the playoffs. Alliance will play against the winner of Fnatic and Virtus.Pro.
