There are eight teams left in G-League and over the next few weeks, the two teams to take part in the best-of-five LAN finals will be decided.
The all Chinese tournament, G-League, features a $41,000 prize pool and a LAN finals that will most probably be hosted in Shanghai at the Gamefy studio.
After playing in a single elimination bracket for about a month, the final eight teams in this best-of-three single elimination bracket have been decided. These eight teams will battle it out in the coming week; whichever team wins their next game will have a 3rd/4th place stake of about $1612 in the prize pool.
Looking at the past results of the teams participating, it seems highly plausible that the match up, LGD vs CDEC, at last year's G-League grand finals will be repeated. LGD's recent performance can only be described as dominating, having taken down the second best team globally (according to Gosuranking), Vici Gaming twice, 2-0 and 3-0, in addition to going on a 6 win streak.
As for CDEC, they have taken down Vici.Potential and Tongfu 2-0 in the TI5 qualifiers. Now, being faced up against Vici.P and either Tongfu or IMG, it seems likely that with their strong performance, CDEC will be able to make it to the finals without too much of a problem.
