A Mouz infestation at the MLG LAN finals

Team Tinker are the winners of the MLG Pro League having taken down Summoner's Rift in the winner bracket finals. The other team to be qualifed for the LAN finals have not been decided.

In a closely fought best-of-three between Summer's Rift and Mouz (ex-Team Tinker), Mouz edged out Summoners' Rift 2-1 and secures their spot at the MLG Pro League LAN finals, a tournament that will feature eight teams from around the world battling for a base prize pool of $75,000.

With this result, one of the two American qualifiers for the event have been confirmed, the second American team that will qualify for the LAN finals will be either NAR or Summer's Rift; who gets the invite will be decided by a best-of-three between the two teams.

Mousesports continue their strong showing in the American Dota2 scene after a great showing last month with a 63% win rate in official games. In this qualifier, they have won against top NA teams like Summer's Rift and NAR, two teams with multiple well known north American players like Jimmy 'DeMoN' Ho, a testament to their current form. In addition to this, the community seems to think that Mouz's current good form will persist as indicative of the 77% (Mouz) to 23% (Summer's Rift) betting odds for the winner bracket finals of this qualifier.

As for Summer's Rift, their performance 11-2 win-loss last month looks to be only temporary as they have faced a string of losses this month, which resulted in a 2-6 win-loss. Despite this weak performance, Summer's Rift have proven that they still can match up against NAR, having taken a series 2-0 against them recently.
