The matches for the first day at D2CL LAN are now over, Team Empire are in a driving seat and have moved onto the Grand Finals with an one game advantage.
DotA 2 Champions League LAN Stage's day one has finished and it featured a total of three matches. Burden United and the Ninjas in Pyjamas have already dropped down to the lower bracket after losing to and will be facing each other in an elimination matchup tomorrow.
On the other hand the winners of the two matches Vici Gaming and Team Empire faced each other in the winner's bracket matchup where the Russians surprised Vici Gaming. The Chinese heavyweight were favourites coming in, having won their last 19 matches but Team Empire had other plans and clinched the series two to one, winning both those matches in dominant fashion.
