Starting on 26th March, 11:00 CET, Stage 1 of ESL One Frankfurt SEA Qualifiers will begin, and will be streamed on joinDota’s channel. The matches will be played in best of 3 format, and will consist of 8 invited teams, including Can’t Say Wisps, Underminer, Mski.Dota2, RRQ, Signature, Departure, Arcanys and 5eva to battle out in the single elimination bracket.
Winners of Stage 1 will move down the bracket to challenge top seed teams in SEA, with Rave, Invasion, EHOME.my and MVP.phx in Stage 2. The competing teams will be looking to face off in an intense battle, as only one out of the 12 teams can make it to the LAN finals.
The prevailing SEA representing team will play against the 3 invited teams, Vici Gaming, Evil Geniuses and also Team Secret, alongside 3 teams from Europe qualifiers and 1 team from China qualifiers.
ESL One Frankfurt 2015 will commence on 20th - 21st June 2015 at Commerzbank-Arena, Frankfurt, Germany, with a total prize pool of $250,000.
The first ESL One Frankfurt was held in 19th April 2014 - 31st May 2014 with Invictus Gaming as the champion of the tournament. In the last season of SEA Qualifiers, the two best performing teams, Arrow Gaming and Titan, both ended up facing Vici Gaming and LGD (2nd and 3rd place) of the China Qualifiers. Vici Gaming and LGD proceeded to the finals after defeating Arrow Gaming and Titan respectively.
