The South East Asian qualifiers for The Summit 3 are starting to heat up with only six teams remaining after Invasion and Arcanys were eliminated by MVP.Hot6ix and Can't Say Wips in their lower bracket matches.
Tomorrow brings the start of the upper bracket semi-finals with Rave, Mineski, 5eva and MVP Phoenix in aiming to win their matches and to secure their place in the upper bracket final and one step closer to the single available spot for a South East Asian team at The Summit 3 LAN finals. The four teams won their opening matches against MVP Hot6ix, Invasion, Can't Say Wips and ArcanysGaming to force them into the lower bracket.
Three of the four teams forced into the lower bracket have been through recent roster changes, with Invasion bringing in a new carry, ArcanysGaming bringing in a new support while MVP Hot6ix have switched their entire lineup- the only team with a secure lineup in the lower bracket is Can't Say Wips. And it was Invasion and Arcanys who were eliminated following two shut-out victories for MVP Hot6ix and Can't Say Wips. The two teams move on to play the defeated teams from tomorrows semi-final matches.
The first semi-final between Rave and Mineski is set to take place at 10:00 CET, with 5eva taking on the new roster of MVP Phoenix later at 13:30 CET. The next round of lower bracket matches are scheduled to take place on March 11th.
