LV-Gaming takes D2L Season 5 title

The D2L LAN finals have concluded and Chinese representative LV-Gaming takes home their first LAN title. Virtus.pro Polar tried their best to contest the title, but came short 1-3 in the finals.

Despite attending the event with a new roster, LV-Gaming managed to grab the title after an impressive run through the upper bracket. Dropping only a total of two maps, the mainly Chinese roster was able to dominate their opponents. Virtus.pro Polar takes home second place, falling short twice to LV-Gaming in the tournament. Having been pushed down to the lower bracket, the CIS team was able to beat Evil Geniuses 2-1 to take a shot at redemption, but the grand finals proved to be too difficult for them as they only grabbed one map.

In the second LAN finals in D2L history, it is yet again an Eastern representative that takes home the crown, with LGD-Gaming being Season 4's winners. Now it is LV-Gaming who take home glory with a young and fresh roster. It is very likely that this roster will soon operate under the re-established Ehome brand.
