LOS ANGELES, CA - November 26th, 2014 - After yesterday's bad news that First Departure will be unable to attend The Summit 2 by G2A.com, a replacement team has been found in the form of Team Tinker. Currently competing in Sweden, Team Tinker managed a 3rd place finish in the offline league for Dreamleague and will be flying directly from Dreamhack Winter to the less-wintery Los Angeles LAN finals to compete for over $300k USD.

This last-minute replacement comes as a result of further misfortune for Invasion eSports who could not secure US visas in time to arrange flights for the Malaysian team to attend The Summit 2 LAN finals as the runner-up in the SEA region. Of the decision, David 'GoDz' Parker had the following statement:

"Unfortunately due to the last minute nature of the replacement, we were unable to secure visas for the SEA runner-up, Invasion eSports, in time for the event. With the winner and runner-up for the SEA division both unable to attend, we assessed other options for teams to take the 6th slot at the LAN finals. We based this decision on a number of factors including teams' ability to secure visas, their rankings in their respective divisions, the Redemption vote, and their availability. Tinker was ultimately chosen as the team most suitable team to take the slot on such short notice."

Unfortunately for Tinker, Max "Qojqva" Broecker will be unable to attend the event with his team. The team's German star player will be replaced by Alliance's Jonathan "Loda" Berg for the event. In similar news, the South American representative, NotToday, will be playing without support player Masoku. The Peruvian team will bring in Na'Vi.US support player Ioannis "Fogged" Loucas to replace him for the finals.

The $300k+ LAN finals is set to begin on December 3rd at 09:00 PST with a Starladder X Grand Finals rematch between Team Secret and Evil Geniuses. For more information on the schedule, check out this news.
