After a 3-2 victory against LGD, LV Gaming secured their ticket to Las Vegas and the D2L #5 LAN finals. They will be joined by the second Chinese finalist, CDEC, in the race for $50,000.
The eastern qualifiers of D2L Season 5 are over, with CDEC and LV Gaming being the two Chinese representatives in the Las Vegas LAN finals. CDEC secured their spot after finishing first in the "bubble race" of the division, while LV Gaming had to go through LGD to earn their ticket. In the end, LV took down LGD with 3-2 in their best-of-five encounter, and they will be traveling to the United States in January.
LV Gaming started the series strong going 2 - 0 in the first two matches of this Best of five, but LGD fought back hard managing to take game three and crushing LV Gaming's moral with a 19-minute game four. It all game down the the fifth and final game of the series, with LV building a slow but steady lead against their opposition. ddc and Inflame both had outstanding play on Jakiro and Ember Spirit respectively, with ddc constantly on point with his Ice Paths and Inflame coming back after having a bad time mid, having his courier carrying his bottle killed.
This concludes the eastern portion of the D2L online qualifiers, after an action-packed month. As for the western qualifiers, they will continue with Virtus Pro.Polar facing off against Sneaky Nyx Assasins at 18:00 (GMT+1) later today, November 14th.
