The Dota 2 Champions League has finished its online playoffs and the four teams for the LAN event are set. Team Tinker takes down Power Rangers 2-0 in the last match of the tournament, securing their ticket to Bucharest.
Team Tinker beats Power Rangers in the lower bracket of the D2CL playoffs 2-0 and has thus qualified for the main event. The Europeans will be travelling to the DreamHack Masters in Bucharest, which will kick off on October 31st. Tinker is the last team to qualify out of a total of four.
Initially, the tournament was set to have three regions competing in Bucharest, with a North-American and a Chinese division holding additional qualifiers for the event. Due to schedule conflicts however, the Chinese teams declined their participation, thus giving an additional slot for the European division. Team Empire was the first team to punch their ticket to Bucharest, scoring a 10-4 record in the online group stage, thus placing first and earning an immediate seed to the LAN. The second team to qualify was team Sneaky Nyx Assassins who fought their way through the American qualifier. The third team was Natus Vincere who qualified two days ago, beating Power Rangers in the upper bracket. The Belarusians had another chance to redeem themselves but fell short to Team Tinker.
The tournament will kick off on October 31st and will see a double elimination bracket with best-of-threes all around, and a best-of-five grand final. The match-ups have yet to be drawn. GosuGamers will be on site to provide coverage.
