Prize pool distribution, coverage page for TI4 released

The prize pool distribution for The International 4 has been released, among many other details regarding the competition. Among those are the stream coverage and secret shop merchandise.

With only a few days left before The International 4 starts, Dota 2 Blog has revealed a number of interesting information. Among one of the biggest revelation is that 14 teams will be on the money this year, compared to only eight from last year. This year's champion, given the current Compendium sales, will get more than 4.7 million dollars - more than thrice of last year's 1.4 million dollars. In fact, this year's runner-up will get almost as much cash prize as last year's champion.

Nothing much from what we already know was disclosed on the schedule. However, present now is a pre and post match conference for the Grand finals.

Secret Shop, the physical store from which Dota 2 merchandise are being sold, has released a product catalog for this year as well. The products include the usual items like tees and microplushies, but there are also rather new and interesting ones like leggings, Nature's Prophet Plush Horns and Pudge mask.

Those who won't be able to attend live can also enjoy the tournament. They can locate pubstomps through this page, as it will be updated with local places who are hosting a public viewing for the tournament.

As the first three The Internationals, the games will be available on both the in-game client and on streams for free. Dota 2 is offering a spoiler-free page on which the games will be available, geared with a pause and rewind function.

There are also new added viewing experiences this year. The first one is the multicast, specifically made for the second phase of the tournament wherein four matches will be happening at the same time. This view covers all four, and it will even feature a panel who will analyze the games. There is also a newcomer's broadcast stream, on which the commentary will be in respect for those new to the game.

In addition, Compendium owners will also get a gem and emoticon depending on their Compendium level after The International.

You can follow The International 4 through its website, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Instagram accounts.

GosuGamers will also have exclusive coverage for this event, and you can catch it here.
