Arrow defeats MiTH.Trust 3-0, claims Good Play Gaming title

Arrow Gaming continued their recent stretch of strong play. After winning the Bounty Hunter Asia Special two days ago, they have now won the Good Play Gaming tournament after beating MiTH.Trust 3-0.

MiTH.Trust, advancing from the upper bracket, defeated the odds as they were actually the fourth seed team heading into the playoffs. The only non-Malaysian team in the top four surprised opponents in the upper bracket, defeating Titan and Invasion with the score of 2-0 and 2-1 respectively.

Arrow Gaming took a longer route. After being seeded second, they were totally outclassed in the first round of the upper bracket. However, they bounced back and had two consecutive big wins - a 2-1 victory against fellow TI4 bound team, Titan, and a 2-0 win on their earlier conqueror, Invasion Gaming.

The best-of-five finals started with both teams trading kills. MiTH had the better early game, scoring kills against the fragile Shadow Fiend with their Shadow Demon-Kunkka combo. However, Arrow was effectively stacking up camps and farming - and they still ended up having good farm on their cores. As expected, the Thai-team placed all their hopes in the hands of Lakelz' Morphling. But while he had good farm and even a godlike spree, the dual core of the enemy which included the very tanky Lone Druid proved to be too problematic for him as Arrow sieged their way into a game one victory.

The second game was a quick one, with Arrow's strong pushing line-up which features Enchantress and Slark being able to route the enemy. The game ended on the 22-minute mark, as the Thai team had no answer for their enemy. MiTH prepared a better early game line-up on the next game, but while they had some success on allocating farm and kills to their Spectre, they were again overpowered with aggressive initiations from the enemy.

All the teams who made it into the top four will receive a portion of the prize pool. The champion, Arrow Gaming, will take home the biggest share which is $3,100. The runner-up, third placer and fourth placer of this tournament will get $1,550~, $930~, $620 respectively.
