An online charity event will take begin on June 9th to help the victims of the floods in Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia. The players who participate will be split into random teams captained by Balkan DotA2 veterans, and the strongest of these teams will battle Fnatic.
This May has been very difficult for the residents of the Northern Balkan region, as overflooding rivers caused one of the worst flood cases in recent memory. The Balkan DotA2 Community will try to do its part in making the lives of the victims a little bit easier, by raising money through the Balkan Flood Charity Cup. The money raised by the online event will be equally split between Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia.
Those who wish to participate will have to send their application form online to the event organizers (more information below). The players will create teams of five, balanced by the Steam account information provided in the form. These squads will be captain by some of the strongest players of the Balkan region, such as Gordan 'g0g1' Prosic (mYinsanity) and Dominik 'Lacoste' Stipic (EG, CLG). The game mode of the cup will be CD (Captain's Draft), and the strongest players will earn hardware and ingame rewards. Last but not least, the winner of the cup will take on Fnatic in an exhibition final.
All the matches will take place online from June 9th through June 12th. Live broadcasting will be provided on the event's Twitch.TV channel, and the livestream will begin two days prior to the event with the player drafting by the captains. TeamSpeak will be used for in-game communication.
