The Korean division of Starladder has just ended, and team MVP Phoenix will be advancing to Kiev in order to participate in the playoffs. Defeating BirdGang in the Korean Qualifiers of Starladder 2-0, BirdGang dropped to the lower bracket and fought their way to the Grand Finals of the Qualifiers after defeating MK-SP 2-1. However as they faced up against MVP Phoenix, they lost the series 2-0 again.
MVP Phoenix is the third team to qualify for the Starladder Finals Playoffs in Kiev, which will feature a total of eight teams. For now, MVP Phoenix will join China's Invictus Gaming and Team DK, as they wait for the European Qualifiers and American Qualifiers to complete. From there, the three aforementioned teams will be joined by four European teams, as well as one American team in Kiev.
The current prize pool is being continuously updated, but at the moment the total prize pool stands at $200,000. With the base prize pool of $80,000, the community has raised an additional $120,000 for the tournament through the purchase of in-game Dota TV tournament tickets.
