The pre-qualifiers for the hyped beginning of Starladder Season 9 are fast approaching their conclusion, with the season qualifiers starting soon for the LAN Finals in Kiev, Ukraine.
The American pre-qualifiers concluded on February 23, with Team Dog and Osiris Gaming; the two survivors of the gruelling eight team, double elimination pre-qualifier bracket. Both these teams have been granted a spot in the main qualifiers together with the rest of the invited teams, and will participate in the StarSeries 9 American season.
In the Eastern scene, two teams have made it through the four-team strong group, namely DT.ngc and CIS They will join a host of six other well known teams in the Chinese qualifiers for the LAN finals in Kiev.
Both the eight-team strong American and Chinese qualifiers will see the top two teams attending the LAN finals in Kiev, while the 16-team strong European division will see four teams moving on to the LAN finals. With four international participants and four European participants for the Starladder Season 9 LAN finals, it is definitely gearing up to be an exciting tournament all around.
The main qualifiers will be conducted in the traditional Starladder league format, with all the teams playing matches against each other. More information on whether it will be a best of one, two or three series for these matches will be provided at a later date.
