As the AOC Pro Cup begins, Zephyr takes an unexpected drop to the lower bracket against unknown Thai team Everlast.
In what seemed like an easy match up, Team Zephyr took a 1-2 loss against relatively unknown team Everlast.Gamefilling. This came as a surprise to many as the North American boys just took home a first-place victory at the third Nexon Sponsorship League in Korea. The tournament, being a double-elimination format, will allow the team to drop to the lower bracket where they will try to fight their way through to the Grand Finals.
Everlast.Gamefilling, whose members are relatively known in the Thai scene, are mostly unrecognized internationally with the exception of Bung "Bungsellrotee" Rotee who formerly managed to compete in The International 2013's East qualifiers. Rotee left one of South East Asia's staple teams, MiTH-Trust, early this year.
Team Zephyr will be meeting the loser between Arrow and Burster which will be happening at 1200CET tomorrow. On the other hand, Everlast will be facing the winner of the aforementioned match up.
Other teams who have proceeded on to Round 2 of the tournament include Scythe Gaming, Titan and RexRegumQeon.
