The third season of the Sina Cup makes its debut, featuring Chinese teams VG, LGD.cn, iG, and Team DK battling it out for the largest share of the $14,800 prize pool.
The qualifiers for the tournament have not begun, and are slated to begin from February 25th to 28th. Most details for the main tournament schedule has not yet been released, although, four teams have been directly seeded into the main tournament while another four have been seeded into the second round of the qualifiers.
The qualifiers will have its first match on Wednesday at 11.00 CET (05am EST / 6pm SGT) being played in a best-of-three format. Addtionally, there will be two rounds of qualifiers before the main event begins, which will be played in a single elimination format. For.Love, Titan, DT.NGC as well as the newly hyped Dream Team will be waiting in the second round, in which each match winner qualifies for the next stage.
The main event will be a double elimination bracket that begins on 1 March 2014, at 11:00 CET, with the four invited teams already seeded into the bracket. The upper bracket will be played in Best of 3s, while the lower bracket will be played in a best-of-one format until the final, which will be best-of-three.

As this is the first tournament to be announced since the Chinese off-season, look forward to seeing a revitalised scene, with teams ready to bare fangs at each other in preparation for TI4. The much hyped "dream team" led by xiao8 will be playing through the qualifiers as well, since Orange and Tongfu are unable to attend the event.
The tournament will be casted in English by JoinDOTA, and in Mandarin by Roshan.TV, LGD.TV and VG.TV.
