Second season of Sina Cup will be kicking off today with 12 of the top Chinese teams battling one another for the grand prize of 50,000 RMB. DT^Club versus Tongfu will kick off the tournament at 10:00 CET.
Set to begin on the 25th of November, the organizers of Sina Cup Season 2 have pushed their schedule back by a day due to the withdrawal from Rattlesnake and RisingStars. As a result, they ended up adding Hearts Get Together and Tongfu.Wanzhou into their list of invited teams and the tournament is set to begin today.
The tournament will begin with a best-of-three single elimination bracket followed by a double elimination bracket from the round of eight onwards. The winner bracket will be played in best-of-three format while the loser bracket will employ a best-of-one format bar the loser bracket final. The grand final, set to begin on the 4th of December will be played in best-of-five.
LGD.cn, Invictus Gaming, Vici Gaming and DK have been seeded to the round of eight while other prominent teams such LGD International and Tongfu will have to battle through the single elimination stage to get through to the second stage.
Sina Cup will kick off tonight with DT^Club versus Tongfu followed by LGD.Int versus Tongfu.Wanzhou. A few upsets are bound to happen considering some Chinese teams like DT^Club and For.Love consists of players from the former RisingStars and alike.
