Despite recent roster issues, Team Empire is looking strong and ready for Techlabs Cup as they mow down Natus Vincere in the winner bracket final to be the first team to qualify for the grand final. As a reward for qualifying through the winner bracket, Team Empire has been guaranteed a second place finish.
Empire kicked off day one facing PowerRangers and had almost no problem dispatching the Belarusian team, although they did nearly throw away the big lead they had in game two. The same can be said about Na`Vi as they took down Virtus.Pro with relative ease in the first round of the tournament.
PowerRangers and Virtus.Pro will continue their battle today in round one of the loser bracket and the winner of that series will face Na`Vi in the loser bracket final. All the matches today will be played in a best-of-one format, including the grand final.
